I am so glad to have you as a part of our class!
My name is Marissa Wilhelm and I will be your child's 2nd grade teacher. This is my 11th year as an educator and my 6th year at Redwood. I know many of the students as I was previously the Intervention Specialist. I am also excited to get to know those students who I don't know. I think that 2nd grade is a special, unique year as students really start to learn and grow as individuals. They start as babes and grow into young ladies and gentlemen! I remember my own 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Roenn and the impact she had on my education so I am blessed to have the opportunity to encourage and impact this group of 2nd grade students.
School is right around the corner! The first day is Tuesday, August 23rd. Parents, Open House is on Thursday, August 18th at 6:15. More information will be available in another post.
