Week of October 10th

Thank you for coming in for conferences. It is exciting to reflect the growth already made this year. We have accomplished a lot and I am excited for all that we still have a head.

Here are a few things to wrap up last week and start this week!

I sent home the Topic 3 Math Review with students over the long weekend. It is due back tomorrow. Here is the answer key if you need it!

I have added two new sites added to the Resource Tab of the blog.
* Spelling City- I have created a classroom page were students can practice 2 skills. The first is the FUNdations skills so your child can go on and practice spelling words for the current unit. Next week, we will be completing Unit 4- Suffixes. There are also sight word lists were students can practice reading and writing the trick words both current and previous words. There is no log-in information needed. Just follow the link. I will continue to add current lists throughout the year.

* Compass/Odyssey- This site matches with student's MAP scores. So based on where they scored both in reading and math, activities at their individual learning level are available. This can be used in place of RAZ-Kids for reading if you so choose. Students do need a log-in and password. These can be found in their planners on the back folder with the other information from the beginning of the year.

* Wednesday is our 3rd W.O,W.. The theme is Cleveland Sports Team.

* Pumpkin Festival is on Saturday. We still need more volunteers. Sign- up HERE.
