Week of April 24th

Image result for dinosaur museum clip art
We had a BLAST at the History Museum. Thank you to the parents who were able to come along! We wrote about the field trip and the winners for the favorite part were the Dinosaurs and the earthquake machine. This was the official ending to our habitat unit. We were able to see and hear about the habitats of Ohio animals. In class, students are presenting their habitat Google Slides. In Social Studies unit of Economics, students learned the vocabulary words of needs, wants, goods, services, consumers and producers. A good is something that can be made or grown.

Students are bringing home completed and graded Topic 12 Practice Assessment. Please review this with your child and look at and mistakes made. We will take the test on Monday. Topic 13 is a continuation of Measuring and the adding and subtracting of measurements. Students will solve measurement problems within story problems. This is a quick 4 lesson unit so we will actually complete this unit next week! That will leave us with Geometry and Graphs & Data.

Things to Know:
* Purchasing of spring pictures is optional- if you choose to purchase, please return payment to Redwood. If you choose NOT to purchase, return pictures back to school. Either option must occur with 10 school days.
* We will be going an ALHS Orchestra & Band concert on Wednesday, May 3rd. We will leave at 12:45. If you are interested in attending, please let me know.
* Glow Walk is TONIGHT!  For those that pre-registered, please have the band on the wrist and glow stick tied around neck before you arrive at Redwood Friday night for fast VIP entry. The number on the yellow band represents the amount of duct tape strips purchased.
If you did not pre-register, you can still attend and pay at the door.  Tickets are $8.00.
Remember to wear neon and/or white as we have a new super cool addition to the walk!!  See you tomorrow night!!

Thanks,
