This week was an exciting week as we celebrated Read Across America & One District, One Book!
We read as a school, at gym, with our buddies, with a guest reader and as a class! Oh, the places reading will take you! The Mouse & The Motorcycle is our One District, One Book book! Students came home with a copy of the book and the activity packet yesterday. After each chapter students can complete the questions and turn them in for a chance of winning a prize!

We are about halfway through Topic 9- Numbers and Place Value to 1, 000 in Envisions. My hope is to assess before spring break. I'll follow-up with an email next week. Our essential question for the week was What do good citizens do? The stories for the week included making the right decision to return something that wasn't yours, running for class president and making kids smile with special needs. Our grammar skill was pronouns- singular & plural.

We read a book titles What Is A Biome? and learned about the desert habitat. Monday is our field trip to the Avon Lake Library. If you want, please join us from 1 to 2:30.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
